Daeduk Institute of Technology
The SK Daeduk Institute of Technology was established in
order to build the strong research foundation needed to be a
leader in the lubricants and chemical industries. We recognize that
people are the key elements of any management system and that
the success of every project depends upon the efforts of these
people.
Therefore, we place tremendous emphasis on recruiting the most
competent researchers and cultivating them to become the world's
best in their respective fields.
Providing
a superior research environment for our scientists and engineers
is of utmost importance to SK R&D. We support our researchers
with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities at the Daeduk
Institute of Technology. We also have R&D centers abroad that
acquire leading-edge technologies and establish channels for
Research Corporation with local institutes and companies.
The SK Daeduk Institute of Technology is located on a 577,500m²
site at the Daeduk R&D Park; it plays a central role as SK lubricants's
main research center for major research projects of new products,
new technologies and technical service. All SK lubricants's core
competencies are brought together--marketing, production and
R&D--into one cohesive working unit. Also the New Jersey Research
Center and Bio-Pharmaceutical Research Center, located in the
US, perform special research projects based on a localization
strategy.
Lubricants Research
SK lubricants is developing high-quality lubricants through extensive
research in formulation, base oils and additives. Motor oil
for gasoline, diesel and marine engines, industrial lubricants,
metal working fluids, grease and biodegradable lubricants are
several examples. ZIC, our own brand of gasoline and diesel
motor oil, has been certified by the American Petroleum Institute
and the International Lubricant Standardization and Approval
Committee for high quality. Customers' technical needs are resolved
quickly and efficiently through our excellent technical support
system, and their special requirements are also incorporated
into our new product development program. |
