- • Ranked No. 1 in the engine oil category every year since the launch of K-BPI, reaffirming overwhelming brand influence
- • Established itself as “Korea’s No. 1 Lubricant Brand” with superior fuel efficiency and stable performance
- • Earned customer trust through tailored product offerings and customer-friendly services
SK Enmove’s lubricant brand ZIC has been named a “Golden Brand” after ranking No. 1 for the 28th consecutive year in the engine oil category of the 2026 Korea Brand Power Index (K-BPI).
Hosted annually by Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC), K-BPI evaluates the competitiveness of product and service brands across various industries in Korea. Since the program’s launch in 1999, ZIC has maintained the top position in the engine oil category every year, once again proving its dominant brand influence in Korea’s lubricant market.
Launched in 1995 as Korea’s first lubricant brand, ZIC has maintained its leadership for over 30 years as “Korea’s No. 1 Lubricant Brand.” ZIC products are formulated with SK Enmove’s premium Group III base oil, YUBASE, delivering outstanding engine protection and improved fuel efficiency. Compared with Group I and II base oils, Group III base oils contain fewer impurities and offer superior oxidation stability, low-temperature fluidity, and high-temperature viscosity retention, ensuring reliable performance under diverse driving conditions.
Backed by these product advantages, ZIC meets major international engine oil standards, including ACEA in Europe and API in the United States, as well as the stringent requirements of global automakers. The brand is currently exported to more than 60 countries worldwide.
ZIC has also continued to diversify its product portfolio in line with evolving mobility trends and customer needs. In 2023, the company launched ZIC e-FLO, a lubricant brand dedicated to electric vehicles, supplying products to various EV manufacturers and proactively responding to the electrification trend. Other customer-oriented initiatives include the expansion of the ZIC Station network for heavy-duty commercial vehicles and the launch of Max Power, a product optimized for Korea’s hilly driving environments.
The company has also worked continuously to improve customer accessibility and purchasing convenience. Since opening the ZIC Naver Brand Store in 2022, ZIC has expanded its sales channels to major e-commerce platforms such as Coupang and Gmarket. It has also strengthened its exclusive online product lineup, including the X10, X8, and Racing series.
“ZIC has grown over the past 31 years based on strong customer trust,” said Nam Jae-in, Head of Green Growth at SK Enmove. “Moving forward, we will continue to strengthen our presence and competitiveness in both domestic and global markets through differentiated products and customer-friendly services.”
